How to Make a Homemade Tractor Rim Grill

Clear a flat circular place on a non-flammable surface and center a larger metal wheel rim in the middle. Junk yards are full of tire rims, but may not have anything from a larger vehicle. Ask a farmer if they have any old rusty tractor rims on their property.

Tractor rims are deep when turned on their side and will allow for a larger fire to burn inside them without scorching your food.Surround the base of the rim with small rocks to stop hot air from escaping out through the base.

Add larger rocks on top of the smaller ones to hold the rim in position during use. Place flat stones on the ground in the middle of the rim and build a wood or charcoal fire on top of them. Place a circular metal grate on top of the rim and you are ready to grill.
